wersi pianostar t-2000

anybody ever heard of this thing? someone gave it to my boss and he didnt want it so he gave it to me. its dated 1980, looks kinda like a rhodes/wurly bite. got some kinda cool sounds, but nothing to write home about. i definitely wouldnt pay much money for it, maybe $100 tops. but i cant find any info on it anywhere. i went to harmony central and there was 1 post. also checked the wersi website and no reference to it there. long shot, but anybody?

the shipping alone would cost more than that! i wouldnt buy it unless i saw it at a yard sale or something. definitely not worth more than 100 in spanking new condition. but its a great free toy!

for real though, its kinda cool. got a few different switches to make some alright saw wave type bass melodies. i dont think i will use the high end of it though, sounds kinda tinny. maybe if i find a certain song that could use it.

but i am starting to think its kinda rare. i cant find any info on it besides a thread here and there about somebody asking about it on some random site. but just because it is rare doesnt make it sweet.

I think it's a German brand, they probably didn't sell that many worldwide. It's made in the 80's and is a basic electronic piano with velocity sensitive keys. There's not much else to it execpt you can hook up pedals to it as well and it has a VCF and VCA to freak the sounds a little. I bet with some decent filters you can get it to sound good as well. Most vintage stage- piano's like Rhodes and so on had some type of filter to make it sound like something a bit more than a piano emulation.

good idea. i got it going thru a gate right now cuz it has some nasty tale end reverb that sounds sh*tty.

ieism, it is a german brand, thats about all i have found out so far. and yes it does have a vcf, but it is not that sweet. i have been looking forward to running it thru my ms2000. it has about 8 different buttons to emulate a rock piano, a stage piano, a banjo, and a couple of extra stuff and you can combine settings to get different sounds. pretty unique piano. i am starting to like it, but i still wouldnt pay much money for it. but like you said, free stuff is always good.

yeah i know the thread is old (i managed to contact mesh though, he seems to be DJing around virginia alot. ..but he didn't have the manual)
i just put it on here, because this thread is one of googles front page results for 'pianostar', maybe i'll help out someone. who knows how long wersi usa will provide it on request..
