I'm gonna pre-empt this question with a short list of artists who have got what i want.

beatminerz

now....
whats the best piece of equipment that can be used alongside the mpc to...
a) run samples through and get heavvy dirrty bass and drums
b) to provide the mpc with heavy bass patches to control.


i've looked at a few things already but i need some real opinions here

im about to cop a asr10 which has an ill sampler for that warm deep sound.

I saw a RZA interview, and he said he runs his drums through a SANSAMP PSA-1 to dirty them up.

Yeah, I saw that interview also.
ASR 10 is a good machine.
Get a module for some patches or if you already got an MPC and a PC you can dirty up your samples via wave editor and load them back into your MPC, possibly some EQ or filter can DIRTY up your sounds for you.
Maybe adusting the sample rate as well can give that gritty sound.

Boosting your low mids with a parametic EQ befores sampling will give you "warmth" Running a sample through a Stereo Chorus pedal will give it depth.
