Midi Chain question...

alright I got a trinity rack
2kxl
bullsh*t keyboard
scratchmaster mixer dd-112(throwback sh*t) don't laugh

...what I'm tryin to do is control everything with the 2kxl, but it's like I can only use 1 sound from the rack when I hook it directly to the midi out of the 2kxl...when I hook the rack to the keyboard (don't think it's multitimbral) and play the keys I get sound from the rack, but when I connect the 2kxl to the keyboard the signal registers on the board, but doesn't travel out to the Rack...

...I know I'm doin something wrong...can somebody tell me what I need to do to get multiple sounds from the rack?

As far as hooking up your MPC, Trinity rack and keyboard(I assume you're only trying to use it as a controller) try this:

MPC midi out A to Trinity midi in> Trinity midi out to MPC midi in 1> Keyboard midi out to MPC midi in B. With this setup you can trigger the rack and the MPC with the keyboard and trigger the MPC and rack with the pads as well.

I'm not too familiar with the Trinity rack but I would imagine it would have to be in sequencer mode to operate as a multi-timbral module. I'm sure someone else in here can point you in the right direction. Good luck
