Is the mpc2000xl better for a studio or do you think the mpc1000 is better for a studio? Ive been looking around and most people say that the mpc1000 doesnt seem to be the studio type equipment.

Until someone actually and thoroughly plays with it in a studio environment anything anyone says is just speculation.

Word. But if you get an MPC 3000 thats the ideal MPC in any studio. I would pick that over all the other mpc's mixed together, the only thing is that Its 2 expensive (brand new) and most used ones have deffects or quickly develop deffects. Furthermore, I would deffinetly pick the 1k over the 2kxl following the specs though I could get the job done wit any equipment.

all 3000's now are used, they are out of production. Unless you get one that is old stock and is still in the box, it wouldn't be brand new.

They went out of production several years ago, and they have only a fraction of the features offered by the MPC1000. It's best to stay on topic and compare only the MPC1000 and MPC2000XL.

247beatz, give it a few weeks. As you begin to read the early user reports about the MPC1000 you might be able to make a better decision than just going by specs.
