hard disk recorder

does anyone record to a hard disk recorder? If so what mixer do you use and how much did it cost? Or does anyone know a good mixer that will go good with a hard disk recorder thats low cost?

I've been working with the 12i since it came out. It's great. I use a very old 14 input Soundcraft Folio mixer that i use with a patchbay to route signals in to and out of the DPS. The small Mackies are also really good. I used to have the 1204. Really great. If you have a lot of sources you'll be mixing you should get a mixer with at least 16 inputs. Like, if you have more than three sound modules with more than stereo outs. Also look at some of the newer budget digital mixers like the Behringer and the Yamahas.
