Situation: I am using the Korg Classic Triton as a sound module & MPC 2xl as a sequencer. I am also using the Triton's Kits for drum sounds.
I usually create a drum beat all on one midi channel (one track on MPC) 'cause its easier to do, but I don't know how to assign each sound to it's own Midi Track/Channel so I can track & mix.

Question: After I create my beat on one Track/Channel, how do I get each Triton drum sound to be assigned to its own midi track/channel?

Thanks in advance & Happy Holidays.

You can't. That is atleast not without knowwing exactly which notes to edit. Basically to send parts out individually they need to individually recorded in the first place. Therefore you will need to in the future record your kick, snare, and etc; all to individual tracks. They can all come from the same midi channel but need to be recorded on their own tracks. If you have a habbit of recording your kick and snare together as most of us do simply copy the track and erase from one track the kick and from the other just the snare. Now you have one track with the snare only and the other with just the kick only.
