vinyl ques?

im having a hard time finding good vinlys to sample off.it seems like every record i bye is wack.i buy alot of weird shit.like symphony type of stuff and old instrumental stuff like pianos,but they all sound like crap.what im really lookin for are 70srecords that has both instrumental and accapella stuff or even nice soundin claccical stuff.can u guys give me some suggestions?thanks

Why don't you just read what is allready written in this forum?? ( http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=6443 ) If you say that you don't find any good records, you haven't tried! go out looking for records from the 70..(maybe your relatives has a vinyl-collection?) After a while you will find out what you like and what you don't.. it's as simple as that!

I started looking for soul/blues/jazz from 60-83(or something) and today i know a little about what I want to sample... the only way for you is to learn it yourself! If i have money i allways buy for example "joan armtrading", "randy crawford"(records before 1983), "average white band" etc etc.. If I haven't heard the record before and know it's wack.. These are artist who is maybe sampled alot allready, but I like the music, so it's nice to have ti anyway..

Buy a portable phnograph. Vestax released one not too long ago, and you can sometimes find vintage ones on Ebay. That's where I found mine. You'll save some money at the thrift stores, and you'll be able to preview your samples.

buy`ing a portable record player might be a good idea...

I had the same problem as you until I got the Vestax Handy Trax portable record player ... I recomend you buying one !!
