First This......Now That

Right now I'm working with a MPC 2000xl and a Proteus, my future upgrade was gonna be a 4000 with a Fantom S. Now that Fantom X is dropping Im just gonna save and get the X. I've been looking at a ION and the Triton extreme . Would it benefit me to buy a VA like ION which excels in synthesis and building sounds and combine that with the X and 4000 or look into the triton extreme which has a nice synth engine and extra bells and whistles, some that I would use and others that I wouldn't. Or should I go crazy with the tax return and get the Fantom X, Triton Extreme, Alesis IOn and the MPC 4000

I used to have one of those... but I pawned it to buy a new Range Rover... I miss it though. I thought I was the only one looking at the Alesis ION... they don't seem to be selling alot of those here in NY... it has some fat basses... try it out at your local Guitar Center and tell me what you thought of it, I was feeling some of the sounds...

I am all over that Alesis Ion that piece is dope.It has alot of great sounds to be used as starting points for your own sounds.I for one am into older pieces of gear or new gear that is slept on. I am going to be getting that as well as some other type of synth undecided on what though.

on the russian tip, you cant get more so called "slept on" then a Polivoks. lucky for us and our russian friends! still, any instrument is a tool.... getting something because its slept on is a bit lame. thats fashion not music.
