Hook the MPC MIDI out into the Firebox MIDI in. Unhook the USB on the Axiom (if you don't have a power supply for the Axiom, you need to get one - you can get one at Radio Shack) and hook the MIDI out of the Axiom into the MIDI in on the MPC. On the MPC set a track to transmit on MIDI channel 1. In Logic, set up the Audio Instrument Track with the piano or whatever. Make sure the track is selected in the arrange page. You should now be able to play (and record) the keys and hear the piano.

Yes that works now when i hit a pad on the mpc it plays the sound that is selected in logic pro//

but the midi keyboardAXIOM25 still wont play anything// even though i have it connected midi out to midi in on mpc 1000.

Connect the axiom midi out directly to your interface and try to play into logic, just to check if theres anything coming out of the axiom.

I think you may need the midi handshake. Connect both midi in and midi out to MPC and try that. That's the only way it works for me. I use a microkorg as the controller.

I have a similar set up..but I have the outs of my soundcard to a small 12 channel mixer. from there the main outs are for monitors and the other outs I route back into my MPC..this way I can sample anything that passes through my mixer. hope this helps
