It's pretty fresh, definitely get's rid of the ugly green screen... which was the purpose. The white still looks kind of out of place to me. The colors are very similar to 2000xl. Here's the answers to the common questions:

- Is it easier on the eyes? Nah, I don't think so. The white back light is very bright.

- Viewable from wider angles? Nope, worse if anything.

- Does it blur and have a slower refresh rate when changing modes? No, it actually seems snappier than the green screen.

I'll add some pics in a sec

These photos used the flash, which washes out the screen. It's actually very bright.

I've thought about getting one of those for a more clasic look, but I'm afraid of getting the lines in them like the older style Mp's did. Does anyone know if this will happen to all of them over time?

That screen definitely looks tight. The wood on the sides is kinda trippy. Is that a relatively easy upgrade? How did you cop the wood and screen, or where from?

Both from Needlewerk.com... cool guy, his stuff is pretty straight. The wood I ended up using epoxy to make them fit solid, and the screen is cake if you don't mind opening top and bottom panels on your MP.

Exactly, I've been thinking the same thing. I'm gonna paint some black volume knobs when I get a chance, the sliders I'll probably leave alone... I love the look with the black/white/brown contrast over there.

I'd have that white screen over the green one in my 2500 any day if I could.
