Yup. A very small amount, then work the switch like 10-20 times to get the lubrication in. Same for the
q-
links. Just spray a little bit, slide it back and forth 10-20 times, spray more if the slider still doesn't glide, and close it up! You may also wanna use compressed air to get any debris or dust out of the switches and sliders first.

I cut up little squares from an album cover (about the same size as the sensor on the board) and stuck them to the board with thin double-sided tape. Search around, there are other materials and ways of doing this. For example some here actually molded silicon to the underside of their pads, mpcstuff.com sell corx, etc.
