MPC's with the 'Better Pads'

Hi guys, on browsing the site i inevitably came across the discussions on the falty pads of older MPC 1000s.

Can anyone tell me from what production date they changed to the better ones, as most equipment comes with a Month/Year marking on the box/case of an electrical product.

Its the older Blue and red MPC. The new black ones dont have the faulty pads im fairly sure.....

Not entirely true. Most of the black MPC's have the new pads. You will have to verify before you purchase.

far as i know some of the black ones do have the pads no one likes but the one to get seems to be MPC1000BK-N as the traditional pads come as standard.

I just bought a blk three weeks ago and it the same single pads as my previous superman, so in my opinion the only way to know without opening it is like some one on this forum told me is try to lift the bottom right corner of pad 4 if it doesnt come out a slight bit then they maybe the faulty pads

Yo, you gotta take it back to the store you bought it from and get another one with the new pads. If you had the old superman model you know that these pads WILL indeed breakdown eventually. (That is if you bought it from somewhere with a return policy) IF you did take it back!!! The model # for the upgraded pads is MPC1000BK-N

u have to wiggle one pad if the others around are moving a bit,
it s the good pads! itsvery easy to test like this .

I did but they didn't have any blk with the new model number in stock, and I didn't wanna wait for an shipment or ordering one, but luckly i had already ordered the pad fix from vst for my superman - so i sold the superman for $450 (paid 400) sold my the pads on my new blk $80 and installed the pad kit - she like a new big breasted chick on the block, I'm in love all over again!!
