anyone using an MPC 1000 with a Presonus Firebox?

I'm trying to use the digital output of the 1000 to go into my firebox, but I can't get it to work- the Firebox doesn't seem to want to sync with the 1000 for some reason. I've set it to smpte in the controller on my computer, but it doesn't seem to work... Any ideas? or is there anybody who got the MPC to work with their firebox?

if its a pc then try to go into the volume mixer and turn up the digital line in.

i have a firebox and was not able to get it to work either. these days most new computers have spdif built in. if you have one, try that.
