sample level to DB scale

I have problem. I need [db] to [lvl] scale (program-sample-lvl window)

I'm not sure if the scale is logharythmic or linear, for example something like: "each 10 points of level less at the MPC1000 in sample window is equal to 3 db low volume".

I'm finishing working on simple AKP to PGM converter and need to know that.
