I know this has been touched on thousands of time and I probably read and viewed posts and videos on it a thousand times, but I cannot get it to work. So I'm going to be as detailed as I can be and maybe you guys could tell me whats up.
I have a MPC 1000 my Daw is Reaper and my audio interface is Omega Lexicon. I have the four mixouts from the mpc going into the Lexicon as well as the midi cables going in and out from eachother. I'm using the free version of JJos without MTC. My question is, with this setup can I track out four tracks at a time and if I can't if I buy the JJos with MTC can I?

in the mixer window on the mpc put the sounds to whichever output you want

use only 1 midi cord

mpc out to soundcard in

slave mpc to reaper with midi beat clock

adjust whatever settings in reaper

all set

You don't want to use MTC for syncing, it contains no reference to your tempo just timecode (hours, minutes, seconds and frames like SMPTE.) What you use is MIDI Sync, which I believe all version of the OS, both Akai and JJ, have. This will keep the tempo accurately locked between the MPC and your DAW.

As mentioned you need to assign which tracks you want to each output in your mixer.
