Not that i see the situation changing anytime soon, but i just wish companies such as Akai would simply level with thier customers. There is so much "positioning" that goes on when interacting with an Akia rep. It would be so cool if they just fessed up--"yes, we are working on it" or "no, we tried, but the machine can't handle it", or whatever. I wonder if the 4k users experience the same thing, seeing as that is the most expensive MPC Akai makes...in other words, there isn't a more expensive product that they can "recommend investigating". I do realize that there are constraints that Akai is working under, and they are not likely to ever admit fault. But still....I can wish, can't I?

And to offset the bitchy tone of my post, I still LOVE my mpc1000, even though Akai may not have the best management.

even the cheap rm1x can handle event time edits. its eighter the people at akai are pure technicians or have poor product & marketing managers. i cant believe the reply they've given to that email, also cant believe that i've sold my rm1x for an mpc1000 to replace my midi sequencing.
