Hi, first off thanks to all those who answer questions on here. It's really helped me so far, you do a grand job. I'm just coming into MPC sequencing from software and have a couple of questions. Sorry if they're already been answered a thousand times...

1.
To begin with, I thought I'd experiment by slaving the MPC to Cubase (ver 3). It plays back the midi data ok but I'd really like to know how get the the MIDI data from out from the pads into the computer....so I could just tap on the pads to input rhythms into Cubase..... I just can't figure it out....when I connect a midi keyboard to the MPC, the midi data from that goes into cubase....but nothing at all from the pads.....

2.

I recorded a leadbelly sample......I trimmed it to perfect length but the sample doesn't begin when I want it to... (# = when I want the sample to begin)

So it's like

"Yippie, ki, yi, yi, yippie ki. When your (#) house catches fire and there ain't no water round"

So I want to start it from "house" but move the "yippie ki" bit to the other end...so it's like:

"House catches fire and there ain't no water round. Yippie, ki, yi, yi, yippie ki. When your"

So it's like a perfect loop...

Is that possible?

3.

Can you extend the length of the count-in on the MPC to give you more than just one bar?

4.

Is there anyway to make the sequence always goes back to zero when you press stop? I get sick of presssing that rewind button....

Thanks for any help!

P.s I'm using an MPC 1000k, edirol ua-1000 and cubase sx 3.
