can you tell from the serial number if an mpc 1000 is the new upgraded version? like with the new pads etc?

Yea man... the sure fire way is to move any pad in an up, down or left right motion. If the next pad moves with it, its the new style. If they are individual the nearest pad wont move at all. Now from the Serial I believe it ends in BK but a few of those have surfaced with the old pads in them.
