Recording Live with the MPC

i got the same Roland SH-201 keyboard he has but have never seen him use it. i hardly ever use it for anything other than a controller though.

Boon doc is nice but he isnt doing anything in that video that reading your manual wont show you...................

yeah, its a hot beat but hes just recording the midi track onto the mpc. the actual sounds from the controller are coming from that synth module on his desk.

What I was saying was is that I have the exact same midi controller as what Boon Doc uses on that video. I gathered he was playing the sounds out of the Synth above it, but I just can't figure out how to do the same thing. I've read the manual and I just can't get my head around it!

do u have a sound module?

I was trying to use Reason as a sound module, then Logic, then I tried the microKorg I've got and I'm just having no luck. I've watched about 5 million video's on how to link up midi and it just isn't happening for me!

how is your cableing hooked up?

Its ok now I finally got it working with my Korg!!!! I looked at a video for getting it going with Logic looks like the hardest thing ever
