MPC stays connected to my mac

Hi.
My MPC stays connected to my mac, eventhough I did remove the icon from the desktop.
All I can do to operate the MPC again is to restart it or remove the USB cable.
Any good answers to that?

ok, my advice would be to install jj os. you can download the free version (3.08) here: http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/
it's way better than the original akai os plus your mpc won't freeze if you connect it to your mac. if you like it you can buy one of the other versions. most of the guys in this forum use it and it really improves your mpc and gives it features of the mpc 2500.

Thanks! I'll try that out. I also wrote to Akai and asked them about it, and they said that it was normal, so the only way to disconnect the Mpc from the mac was to remove the cable. How weird is that?

i eject mine,, and that disconnects it ,, on a mac also ? maybe its non jjos
