how did ski beats filter the bassline in dead presidents?

he filters the bassline, he says that he filters all the high ends to catch the bass note thats in the sample.
my question is, how the hell do you do that on the mpc1000?

Finding a sample with enough bass is the key. Experiment with the filter and u can get some good results.
