I've recently got an MPC1000 (with the new pads + JJOS1), dead happy with it mostly but the pads are giving me pains in my fingers after I finish... I've got the `sensitivity' on full 25 and the `pad on level' on 1....but it still seems to require a fair old whack. In fact, I think my Korg Er-1 is easier to press, and that's not even velocity sensitive.

So I was thinking about giving Nym's silicon glue pad fix a shot, but I'm not so good with technical buildery things and was wondering if any other non-technical types have succeeeded with it.

I'd also like to thank Nym for all his youtubes/manuals/advice. They're really helpful, nice one.

I have successfully completed the silicone fix and must say that i couldnt be more satisfied with the results. I used to have to use 16 levels to do different velocities for samples and drum hits. My pads resond so well now. I am able to achieve different velocities with ease without using 16 levels. Just be careful and patient and follow Nym's exact directions and you will be fine.
