GETTIN NEW RAM WHAT ABOUT THE OS

OK im pickin up new RAM tonight, and i got to thinking if i put the new RAM in im gonna have to re-install the os...RIGHT??? If not i still need to have some peace knowing that my firmware is all updated, cuz i'm still havin some DATA-LOSS issues. So how do i update the AKAI OS v.2.10..........and how do I re-install the os after i switch out the RAM...(if i have to)
my apologies for any ridiculous questions, im a producer, and sorry to say, i have a real hard time with the technological side of things... and really appreciate all you homies that get it, and help us out. PEACE!

you dont need to reinstall the os if you change the ram.

OK, so if i dont have to re-install the OS thats cool. but how do i make sure that i'm running the latest firmware for the AKAI OS 2.10?

For all intents and purposes, I think that the OS is the firmware. There will be a bios that boots into the OS when you start it up but you really don't want to go messing with that.

I could be wrong though.
