I've had my mpc1000 for about a month and everything was fine until a few minutes ago. I loaded a project and one of the drum samples just started playing itself(and it was just like a long stutter that wouldn't stop). Then i turned it off and on and opened another project thinking it was a corrupt file, but it did the same thing. Then it started playing all the samples i had it the pad at random times. i have the free jjos. Anyone know whats going on?

i started having the same problem to the point where all my pads were randomly triggering themselves, all the time. i upgraded the pads to Akai version 2 myself when it happened. took it to a repair shop to get fixed and the guy said that all he did was clean the ALL connections inside the mpc... 3 weeks and counting, so far so good. you can try doing the clean yourself if you've got the guts to open up your own mpc and tinker with it's innards. i only dared to go as far as the pad upgrade, and that was scary enough. my advice to you is to find a shop that will do it for you, so you have a warranty if they mess it up.

another guy on the forum had the same problem. he said the same about cleaning connections inside. i can't remember who and which thread tho, sorry.
