trouble transferring. please help!!

I'm having trouble transferring files from my computer to the disk. it says that the files cannot be written because the disk's directory is full. I dont know what this means because the disk has plenty of memory availble. does anyone know how to rectify this problem? Please help me out.

Sometimes you need to disconnect the usb connector to and trash the disk image. Then the reconnect and you should see the right amount. Its kind of a pain in the ass and I hope this is fixed in a future OS update.

i tried that, and the same thing occurred. I even moved all the files from the disk to the desktop again, formatted the disk and moved the files bask, and at a certain point the files stop transferring saying the directory is full. Is there another way to create more directories?
