Samples playing by themselves and won't stop

I've had my mpc1000 for about a month and everything was fine until a few minutes ago. I loaded a project and one of the drum samples just started playing itself(and it was just like a long stutter that wouldn't stop). Then i turned it off and on and opened another project thinking it was a corrupt file, but it did the same thing. Then it started playing all the samples i had it the pad at random times. i have the free jjos. Anyone know whats going on?

No idea what's going on, but you're best bet would be to reinstall the OS. If that doesn't work, you could have some dodgy RAM (did you upgrade it?) or you could try reverting to the Akai OS.

there's something lurking in the machine. bad built cheap parts who knows...? not OS depended though, as i have experienced similar issue.

solution? for me it was to get another MPC
