I know the 1000 does not have midi sync....

However what I want to know is how important is this function when trying to operate the 1000 with Pro-Tools? Is it possibel to have a midi set up with a software application using the 1000?

The 1000 has midi beat clock. It works pretty well. I use reason with protools and the 1000 and it works nice together.

i spent all day yesterday with the 1k sync'd up to DP4. it works great. i mean, i go to a time in DP and the mpc chases it right down to the middle of the bar. i cant ask for more than that..
