I have my MPC 1000 synced up with Reason by a midi to usb cable. USB is going into the computer. It recognizes that they are synced up. When I hit a pad on the mpc, it plays whatever instrument is selected on Reason, and the sound comes out my computer speakers on reason. My actual speakers are hooked up to the MPC.

I want to hear reason instruments come out of my MPC, and it all be recorded onto my MPC... any advice?

Note, there is no audio interface, just a MIDI to USB cable.

You could go to Radio Shack and pick up a 1/8" stereo headphone jack-to-RCA cable and run your computers headphone jack right into the MPC. You may need some RCA to 1/4" adapters.

If I got an audio interface, would it work then? I dont wanna go through the trouble of sampling sounds in Reason. This is just to hold me over til I can get a nice keyboard.
