S/PDIF

Hey all. I know there is one S/PDIF connection for output on the back of the MPC1000 but how many audio channels can be sent? I can't seem to find any information online anywhere to verify. It all just says S/PDIF 1x IN and 1x OUT but don't know if that means stereo, mono etc etc. Help.

The s/pdif output mirrors the analog (main) outputs on the 1000. Its a single stereo channel.
