Help Deleting Samples from Internal Memory (Brand New Owner)

Hi - I just got the MPC1000 today and am absolutely blown away and incredibly excited to get away from my computer and compose beats in a different way. However, I am having "Insufficent Memory" problems. I know this is in part due to the fact that I need a 256 RAM card to replace the 16 RAM one, but I'm having this problem even when loading samples from my CF card into the MPC.

For example, I want to load a new drum sound but I get the error "Insufficent memory". So I'd like to be able to remove some of the samples that come preloaded on the MPC to free up memory. I have looked pretty thoroughly through the manual and cannot find an explanation on how to do this. In deleting files, it explains how to delete files from the CF card but not from the internal memory of the MPC. So how is it I can delete files from the MPC's internal memory?

Internal memory cant be deleted it can be overwritten tho. Theres a thread around here explaining the process. As far as the insuffient memory, You can use the purge feature to remove unused samples from programs. Best bet is to load up a program, erase all the tracks, then purge to delete the samples. After that save it as a blank template and use that as your starting point for new beats
