ok. i was working on a simple two note 4 measure bass sequence the other night. It sounded good while i was working on it but afterwards it got stale as ****... well i went into step edit to add random parts and change filter, envelope, velocity settings. mostly imposible to actually play on the 1000. well what i got is a really tight bass groove with notes so fast flea, victor wooten (sp?) less claypool couldnt touch. they way better than me. but i was wondering if anyone likes the step edit to get weird spastic movments in a sequence or has a good storie about it rather than complaining. late

i don't use it for basslines but i like it for the break, and editing velocity, and like you said A,D, F etc. Or when I use note repeat, I go back and delete certain notes I don't want.

yeah, but for adding a buzz effect on any sound to write notes that are shorter than 32nd,,, like 64th notes 128 ect. its really fun... and you can do really wicked tune changes with it... its so fun, i love it
