Yes. Thats if you intend on using the digital connection. If you want a quick and dirty way to get audio in there you can purchase a "Y" cable that is (2) mono 1/4" ends and (1) 1/8" Male on both ends. this will allow you to go from the main outs of the MPC to the line in on the laptop.

Excellent! i didn't know they made em so small. Can't seem to find them in the uk though. Re the quality the reviews seem good.


May i ask, why would you use the spdiff as oppose to recording through the main out into a sound interface.
is it because Spdiff is better quality? im bazzled :?
