very cheap parts for mpc1000/2500

I thought i just had to solder the 22 pin connector cable to the board, since the screen come with no cables..

Also, does anyone know if it's possible to reverse the colors on the screen somehow?

not needed. the inverter is built into the unit already. its just that the proprietary wiring on the oem screens is different than the aftermarket screens we are looking at here, and the power leads have to be connected from the opposite sides of the pcb and integrated into the ribbon cable connector. as long as you know what pins and such to connect to its no problem.

But to do this you need to be good at soldering(for example excess heat while soldering can cause the contacts to come right off of the PCB and ruin a part.. saw this happen on a Q-Link Board), and sure of the wiring layout.
this is why places like needlework have succeeded in selling lcds.. no one really wants to take a chance ordering a screen from china only to screw it up and have to order another, when you can pay a little extra and get one that is plug and play.

wasn't there a trick where if you did something like connect the screen cables the wrong way it would display negative... or am i making this up? i feel like someone mentioned discovering this by accident or something...

I think so, but like Triple X said I think it requires some soldering...and I'm not confident enough in my soldering skills to give it a go. If anything, I'd try it with my old green screen, but I'd still be scared I'd brick it. If anyone can dig up some instructions maybe we can find someone brave enough to attempt it?
