hooking up turntable to mpc

So I'm a little new to productions.
I have the mpc 1000
and a technics sl-1210mk2 turntable

I need a pre-amp or mixer to hook my turntable up and sample records correct?
I'm on a low budget, what are my options / your recommendations?
what are the pro's / con's to each?
educate me a little....
and will this allow me to hook up to speakers to listen to records for listening purposes
