hey, does anyone know of any good places to buy an mpc in the uk, preferably england. My girlfriend wants to buy one but she's not wanting to pay 600 quid for a 2nd hand one off ebay.

thanks.

hey man,

i got my mpc1000 brand new from a website called Andertons Music. They also have a store and it is in Guildford but you can just order it online with ease.

i even got my mpc1000 on finance from them... if i remember rightly i got mine for 70 pounds per month for 9months interest free if you don NOT miss a payment.

check it out.

good luck

hey thanks for the info, I checked that site out, looks cool. I was actually so gutted, I checked ebay and saw an mpc 1000 bk for a buy i now price of 390!! told the missus about it but with her being a women she had to start asking questions and by the time the dude had got back to us it had been sold!!!! foooook

I'm starting to get really confused with this whole pad thing though, get this, so I bought my 1000 last x-mas, also 2nd hand off ebay for only 400 quid, a total steal IMO, it arrived in great condition, you could tell it had hardly been used, (the serial number was missing though) a bit dodgey, anyway the pads (for a 1000) have always felt pretty nice and are getting even better as they get worn in but then my friend brought his over to my studio and I'm wondering why he his banging his pads so hard, then I check it out for myself and you needed some serious force just to get a hit out of it and thats after trying every single velocity and pressure setting. his mpc is a bk-n an I thought that was guarenteed nice pads...he bought the fuker brand new only 1 month ago!!

It seems to me to be a bit hit and miss to be honest.

any thoughts?

I just bought a brand new MPC 1000 BK from a UK dealer last week 8) , has the new pads and they work nicely. This is now my 3rd mpc, still got my 4k, 2000XL and sold the 2500. The new BK pads are nice enough and they respond pretty well, still prefer my XL pads a little better out my mpcs.

Also worth pointing out, there is NO such BK-N model in the UK. It's only
BK. Numark UK have no idea of BK-N
