Hello... ive been making beats for 3 years now.. and tonight while making one I noticed something weird that never happened to me. I dont know if its normal or what but lets say I play back my whole 16 bars from the begening and suddenly some tracks mute/unmute them self automaticly. For example : lets say when I recorded track 4 and pressed on mute WHILE recording at 6 second... when I play it back, I can clearly see the track 4 muting is self at 6 second.. I dont know if you guys understand its a bit hard to explain.. I'm hoping its just something tiny or a button to press.. It can be a problem when recording my song.. cuz I dont want it to mute at 6 seconds, I want it to mute when I mute it! lol

thanks for your help

muting a track while recording will record the action and replay it like that... press the track mute button and in the top right corner turn off use events... that should keep it from recording/playing the mute button.

i find i have the same problem with my mpc 1000, but i dont do track mutes at all...I notice if i have a 16 bar sequence and lets say out of 8 tracks i recorded, 1 of the tracks has a whole 4 bar loop of something i jus played from a keyboard, that whole 4 bar loop track will mute later on during the 16 bar sequence. without me ever htting mute groups or event mute or anything it jus mutes on its own. Strange cant figure out why.

it's possible you have too many sounds on a single layer or need to switch a particular program from mono to poly.

go into your step edit mode. press mode, wait for it to flash, press pad 14 (step edit)

place the cursor over "all events"

spin data wheel all the way to the right, also known as clockwise.

you should then see "track mute" to the right of "view"

below is a list of all your track mute events.

move the events that are at the wrong time to the right time.
