Hi peeps, I've been trying to put a collection of samples (a commercial one not my own) on my MPC 1000 HD but for some reason after I convert them from 24bit to 16bit several of the samples have clicks/pops on them. They're not at the start and ends but usually in the middle somewhere.
The samples are mostly noise FX like swooshes, sweeps and noise bangs, im not sure if this is significant?
I thought it might be clipping but I checked that I wasn't doing any normalization and I also tried normalizing the files to just 95%, but they were still there.
I also tried removing the DC offset, but still no effect, is it possible that the samples have clipping on them that is only becoming noticeable after I convert them??
Is their anything else I can do to try to prevent it?
Any help much appreciated!
