pads-hard to push, to slightly display

hi everybody out there,

a few days ago i got my mpc 1000.
The Problem when i don´t activate the ´´full level´´ button i must hit the pads really hard.
Could it be possibly that the pads getting more sensitive with the time?
Nothing happens when i change the pad sensitivity manuel.

second problem:

I installed JJOS and my display getting very light.
with holding the shift button and turning the data wheel you can normaly can change the brightness but in my case nothing happens.

if sombody knows something about my problems, please help me- getting really frustradet.

Question 1 : The pad sensitivity can be set with the JJOS.

Question 2 : Again this can be found when you check the JJOS site where you downloaded the OS from.
Note : The contrast of LCD should turn a DATA wheel, pressing the [STOP] key -> http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/manual_e.htm

Btw...i assumed that you use JJOS1 !

i got the same problem.. i got my sensitivity on 5 (tried even 1 but it doesnt matter in this case). i dont really have to hit them pads hard to make em produce sound if i press the *full level* button, well obviously. but wen i dont activate *full level* i cant get them pads to produce a reasonably loud sound, why is that? the mp is brand new, came w upgraded pads out the box btw. wen i go to pad options (where u set the sensitivity n stuff) and hit any of the pads hard, the meter goes like 50-60% high - i shud be getting 127 full velocity wen im hittin em this hard i think.

on *full level* everything's fyne - that wud suggest that my pads are fyne rite? but wen i turn *full level* off, ..well its not that fyne

am i in the minority of yall w that problem?
