Tried the pitch shift feature today, messed up the sample. Made it sound bitty. Was wondering, apart from using trim>edit>pitch shift , is there any other way to play the sample on a different note, but keep it's speed?

No other way. You could try computer timestretching/pitch shifting, if you need higher quality.

Maybe you went past 10-15% shift, in which more than that will sound unnatural.
That same rule of thumb applies to time-stretch as well. People like to try and do things way
outside that range and end up with off putting results.

Or maybe use a computer with better quality pitchshifter software and you may be able to
process more than 10-15% and the sample will sound better than previous results with mpc shifter.
