samples cutting off

right i have started encountering this problem recently...

it seems that alot of my samples are cutting one another off when i go to put them in a sequence...

i am familiar with the mute groups and this is not what is causing it...

i also thought i understood the difference between setting the sample to mono as opposed to poly... i have a feeling i may be doing soenthing wrong but am not sure what...

basically if i want all my samples to play out without being cut off when another one comes in what do i need to do ?

is it to do with the Poly/Mono parameters ?

You haven't given much information.

Does every sample cut out every other sample? see page 73 in the manual for the answer to that.

Or does each sample only cut out itself when overlapped with itself? See page 74 in the manual.

Or do they play over each other without problems until you have lots of samples playing at once, then they start to cut out? You might have reached the polyphony limit - you can only have 32 samples playing at once. Trim your samples to make sure they don't have lots of silence at the end of them, and don't use so many at once.

if they are not on a mute group and your mono/poly settings are correct then you may have maxed out your polyphony. If so converting samples like bass, kicks, snares, hats to MONO should free up some polyphony.

i had not realised you could "max out" the Poly... i think that explains it...
