This has probably been answered before -- I did a couple of searches but didn't find this question put simply nor did I find any concise answers. The word trigger just comes up so much (used as a verb) on these forums that it's difficult to weed through the search results.
Anyway, the title pretty much sums it up. Is there any way to get a response from the footswitch input on the MPC1000 using a drum trigger? I have a Roland KD-7 that works great with a v-drums brain, but I get no reponse using it as a foot switch plugged into the MPC. I want to be able to use a normal kick pedal to trigger a pad on the MPC, and if possible I'd prefer not to convert to MIDI.
What I'd love to hear is that I just need some kind of adapter or different cable but I suppose that's just wishful thinking..? I use a 1/4" TRS cable to connect to the v-drums brain.
Thanks!
