Hey,

I just got the new pad upgrade and possibly fiddled around with it too much! So the green connector strip has a tiny rip in it and because of this the top four pads dont work!! Just wondering if anyone knows how i could fix the rip to reconnect the strip??

Thanks a lot!

Geoff

Very difficult to fix....i am afraid that you will have to order a new sensor board.

You can't solder or glue it together. :|

First thing you should never do with these type of connector cables is fold it.

Actually you can bridge the broken traces by soldering a very thin wire to them. You would have to scrape the plastic off to expose the traces.

You will lose the flexibility in the ribbon cable though, any movement may end up breaking the traces again -- it's worth a shot if you were going to throw out the sensor anyway...

I did both sides but had to be really careful not to scrape into each side too much or else nothing would be left as its quite thin...it did weaken it quite a bit so reinforcing it with a strip of plastic to take the stress off the area is pretty essential...
