I NEED SOME HELP A.S.A.P WITH MY AKAI MPC 1000

hey can someone tell me how to mute a pad on the akai mpc 1000....for example like while the beat is playin on the akai mpc 1000 u can press mute and the kick or snare will stop playing and when u press back mute the kick an snare will start back playing...does anyone know how to do that??????...please tell me how because i really really really want to know....also what does solo???...the mpc has solo on it...it's like u can group the pads an when u press solo all the drum will cut off in the beat an the percussion alone will play....anyone knows how to set it to do that????...can you all tell me please....thanks

look record snare on track one, kick on two and so on and so. hit the track mute button while playing the seqeunce and press the pad for the track u want muted...www.akiapro.com has the manual 4 dwnld
