Numeric Button Replacement

I did search, but found no specifics. Anyone replaced their numeric button? Mine was mashed in and under the casing somehow yesterday, I pried it out but of course now it doesn't work.

And if my clear button is broken, am I screwed? I can't find anyone selling those anymore at all.
Any insight from your experience would be greatly appreciated, and I'll chronicle the whole journey here in case someone else has the same problem.

Ok I took my MPC apart, and the switch is fine. The button is disentegrated, though. I'll post when I find one.

BTW, it's the small black tact switch.

Got my parts list fom AKAI, we'll see what they have.

Hey man, you like talking to yourself on this forum? When I got my MPC, the mode switch was broke, I was able to fix it with two way tape to hold the top to the sides (all that's holding them together when brand new is two little hairline peices of plastic) eventually I bought a replacement, but until then I swapped it out with the pad bank "d" button (I don't use it much)

Akai is out of stock on the clear buttons too.

I actually saw the clear button fix on youtube. I lost the outside piece, so this is out of the question.


The clear buttons are still in stock at vst for the 2500, and they look identical, but I don't know. Any ideas?
