Demo will not play on New MPC 1000

Hello! Im new to this form and a new MPC 1000 owner. Its a brand new MPC 1000 right out of the box. I started with the quick start manual and the first thing it has you do is play the demo song. Well it will not play at all and the pads have no sound either when hit. I have speakers hooked to the stero left/right however I get no sound from there or the headphones output. Im not new to recoreding music and producing, just new to the MPC. The manual does not address this at all. I was able to load up a few sounds from the mpc sound library and even recorded a sample. So I am getting sound. The mpc 1000 will not play any of the pre loaded samples installed. I do have it set on autoload as well. Any help please

you said it yourself... you just pulled it out of the box. and you need to spend some more time reading the manual and learning the basics before running to the internet to be spoon-fed a tutorial.

it sounds like you're simply loading samples, but not assigning them to pads... read up on your read-ups.

I was reading the manual and doing exactly what it said to do.I tried loading it 50 times or more but after I took a little break and came back about 1 hr later got the manual and did it just like it said and it worked... I'm not new to this at all and have had other drum machines, and like I said this is my first time using the MPC at all. I know you have to spend time learing new equipment as I have spent countless hrs doing so. Thank you for commenting!!
