Why is my Mpc 1000 sync slightly off in cubase(ASAP)

Im using the mpc 1000 with jj0s1 with cubase, mbox 2, and the way I use it is I sequence on the mpc (battery, fm7, and vsts), and I dump the midi into cubase (i have a triton midi'ed as well in case I want to use some of its sounds).


The problem I'm having is after a few track outs, or sometimes just one trackout, cubase records the midi from the mpc slightly off, causing my whole beat to be off, and I have to go in the midi editor, and drag each midi piece to start at 0:00.

I'm using MTC, and I have it selected mtc mbox2 digidesign under the cubase transport panel.


Am. I doing something wrong? I even make a blank 1 bar so the mtc can catch up.

Is there a way to adjust midirecording delay in Cubase?

HEY! i was having this same problem with logic and my 2500 and what i did was turn off the 1 bar count in and also brought my latency down as much as my mac would allow it. hope this helps!

I always keep my buffer at around 512-1024 (the mbox 2 cant handle 128). And it still does it.

Not sure if this is a cubase setting I'm missing or what?

Did you try MIDI clock?

I dont think so. I always though the mpc and cubase should always use MTC, but is midi clock better?
