Broken Button any alternative?

After receiving the MPC yesterday the arrow down button doesn't work, The machine does not have much of any function without the use of this button would their be a way I could trigger it maybe through midi? or do I have to order a tact switch and solder it I am hoping this the last resort because shipping is going to take weeks to get to Italy

are you sure its the tact switch and not the plastic button? if the button is in good condition then your only move is to do the tact switch. which in my experience is a very easy repair. taking it all apart to get to the contacts is the hardest part

9 times out of 10 "broken" tacts just turn out to be dirty switches..
