Ah lets see here Paranormal, you might want to think about your MIDI. If you are triggering samples from the R3 when you hit a key then obviously the MPC is receiving midi notes triggered by the R3. Why not change the MIDI channle ? you have 16 to choose from. Or you might have Active track recieve set as all, so change to what ever channle you want so as not to trigger MPC from all channles. Simple. I run a few synths this way so it works. every synth gets its own MIDI channle so they onlyplay what i send on that particular MIDI channle. Basic MIDI 101 really. Did you RTFM???
you will have to arm a track in the main window. I mean if you want no triggering on a particular track turn of midi, if you want to recieve midi from R3 just make channle same as R3 and there you go.
And definitly make MPC master and R3 slave...... MPC is the sequencer right? so I would strongly suggest MPC as Master R3 as slave yeah. Tempo changes can be recorded or set up on mpc sequencer.
