loading samples

Hi everyone,
I downloaded some sampled piano sound (each notes) for my mpc (with program)
I was gonna try it out but basically the all samples almost fill my entre internal memory.
I don't really kow how can I use it.
Any solution?

Of course I have an extended memory (128)

use every other note or every third note and transpose to cover the gaps. Or use an autolooping program on the pc to shorten the samples.

Hm. Well I don't think I'm gonna work with those samples. I'd rather playing on the piano and record waveform back to the MPC.
I was just wondered that people use the MPC like an instrument on that way or not really.
(It's allways good to hear how other people working with it specially for a begginer)

Yep, they're called multisampled instruments (or just multisamples), you can make them yourself, download them from other users who made their own, and/ or buy them from this very site.
I use both multisamples and VSTs, depending on the sound and situation. I do like multisamples a lot though because they're more convenient, just load them up and go. Unlike with VSTs, where you need to set them up in some sort of host and bounce the performance to wav then set up the wav back into the MPC and make adjustments from there. However, VSTs generally sound better and are more flexible when it comes to tweaking the sound. Like I said it just depends on the situation.

If you do decide to salvage the piano samples, check to see if they're in stereo. If they are, convert them to mono. That will cut the memory usage in half. Mp3's advice is spot on as well.

A question:
I bought a MacBook Pro and start learning ableton. Should I still keep the MPC? You think is it a use of it?

Yeah I don't see why you should sell it. There's always room for a stand alone drum machine/ sequencer/ sampler in a project studio set up. At the very least you could use it as a midi controller if you need pads to bang out drums or something.
My philosophy is you shouldn't sell your MPC unless you need the money to buy a better MPC or to help pay for a life saving surgery. Otherwise you'll be kicking yourself for selling it sometime down the road.

You are totally right! I'll never sell it.
I wish I have a mentor or a pro user near by, but I don't even know anyone here who's using mpc at all.
I have tons of question (even I read the manal already, watch 100 of youtube..)
It's very hard to even understand the 'sampling world'. I'm not using MPC the classical way with turn tables, sampling music from disc. I'm more like using as a sequencer if I have an ide with synth. First I played with midi notes and than record the audio and than putting the song thogether with track mute, etc. This is how I use it, but I'm dying to see someone how put a whole song thogether with all the features in used.
