trouble Importing samples from my computer please help

I am working on a blue mpc1000. i downloaded the deep funk kit from mpcresources bought them downloaded them and dragged them into the appropriate folder. for some reason when i try to load the sounds on my mpc they arent there but they do show up as in the mpc on the computer. do i need some type of jj operating systems ? if so where is the best place to get it?

you don't need jj os to do so, but i do suggest you get at least the free one, just google JJ OS, and they may seem basic, but you are dragging wav. files to the mpc correct?

im pretty sure i am my brother has an mpc and he taught me how to do it they appear in the file on my computer but when i disconnect and go to load there is nothing there do i have to do something to the memory card?

like clear it or reformat it or something like that maybe unlock it?

oh yeah, you need to format the memory card first, my bad been on a hard drive so long i forgot. go to MODE, PAD 2, then press F3 for format.
